Until August 20, 2009, Microsoft launched a preview version of Windows 7 which will available to download. Unfortunately, the download is no longer available. Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor will scan your hardware, device drivers and major applications, to determine compatibility. The software reported the potential problem and recommends what to do before you upgrade to windows 7.
The minimum requirements for Windows 7 :
- Processor : The processor must have a clock frequency of one gigahertz or higher.
- Memory : 1 gigabyte of RAM memory requirements for 32-bit, 2 gigabytes for 64-bit minimum requirements.
- Hard drive : For Windows 7, you need 16, preferably 20 gigabytes of storage space on your hard disk.
- Graphics card : The chip must support DirectX 9.0 graphics interface and the Microsoft driver collection “Windows Display Driver Model” (WDDM) 1.0.
