The WordPress plugin updating process is described as below:
- Step 1: Enable/Activate Maintenance Mode
- Step 2: Automatically updating the plugins
- Step 3: Disabling/Deactivate Maintenance Mode
When plugin updating process is failed, your blog will stay in Maintenance mode and all of your page (web page and admin page) will show maintenance mode message “Briefly unavailable for Scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute”. You may be confusing with this message since all of your pages are unable to access.
How to remove this message..? Follow this simple steps:
2. On root folder, find a file named “wp_settings.php”, then open/edit this file.
3. Find this row:
// Check if we're in maintenance mode. wp_maintenance();
And then simply commenting wp_maintenance();
// Check if we're in maintenance mode. // wp_maintenance();
Your wordpress site should be OK now.. 🙂
